As it is well known, the Diaspora contribution to growth in the countries of origin is substantial and increasing. This is especially relevant considering the fact that Official Development Aid (ODA) is decreasing in
almost all western countries.
The Seva Business Club strives to bring together ambitious entrepreneurs with investment ideas in the countries of origin, financiers and others in order to facilitate the requirements of the Diaspora business back home.

The evening is free of charge for members. Members are allowed to bring along one guest who is interested. The annual membership fee is 20 euros and gives you free entry to all Seva Business Club meetings for a whole year.
Het Pan-African Network in defence of Migrant Rights was eind November bij het GFMD in Mauritius aanwezig om een stem te geven aan migranten, vluchtelingen en statenlozen uit Afrika. Het team van LA Ruta sprak met Milka Isinta over het Netwerk en de rol van migranten en diaspora in het forum.

Naar aanleiding van de Internationale Migrantendag op 18 december jongstleden organiseerde Noticias een Buzon Latino in Jeugdtheater de Krakeling, in Amsterdam, en stelde de volgende vraag: Ga je terug naar je eigen land? Dit is de uitkomst.
Op 30 oktober 2011 heeft Noticias een Buzón Latino in de St. Nicolaaskerk,Amsterdam, georganiseerd met de vraag: Hoe helpt de Kerk de Latijns-Amerikaanse immigrant? Deelnemers aan de mis gaven antwoord.
Het aantal migranten dat omkomt in het grensgebied tussen Mexico en de VS is opgelopen tot enkele honderden per jaar. Het is te wijten aan het strenge beleid dat de risico's zo enorm zijn geworden, vinden humanitaire organisaties in Arizona.
